Theoretical Spinning

We have some grand plans for Tour de Fleece. Diana needs to buy a scale.

Jocelyn wants to get either a Turkish spindle or a supported spindle.

We did stuff for World Wide Knit in Public Day. We went to the Wildwoodrose Vintage Market in the Exchange District, but started with brunch at the Osborne Stella’s, followed by shopping at Unique Bunny and Lennard Taylor, and fuel at Bronuts. Diana purchased some cinnamon-scented beard oil from The Bearded Lady for her very long (non-beard) hair. We met cool crafters like Kelly Ruth and Heartleaf Design. We also partook of some tea at The Amsterdam Tea Room. The day ended with some sushi at Wakoya Sushi.

Jocelyn was saved by a lifeline. She also knit some things that should have been purled.

Diana can’t do simple math. It resulted in some tinking.

Rediscovered Projects

Diana unearthed some old UFO’s. The Game of Thrones Shawl MKAL from 2014, the Celtic Myths Shawl KAL from 2016, a giant bag of yarn for an unstarted C2C blanket, the Distinction Shawl, all the finished 365 Days of Granny Squares so far plus some yarn intended for the project, a scarf my grandmother knit for my mother that needs some repairs, and her hand knit socks that also need a small repair.

Jocelyn mentions the Pussy Hat.

Sew Little Time

Jocelyn’s sewing machine is unhappy. She’s been doing hand mending instead.

Diana broke her oath not to buy any more yarn while at the Shibui Yarn Party at Wolseley Wool with Jocelyn. They gush over the really amazing (and really expensive) yarns.

Diana has (theoretically) been working on her 365 Granny Squares, and her Wedding Shawl. She has actually worked on her sock and the Bellrose Shawl.

Jocelyn finished her mom’s afghan. She has been working on her Boneyard Shawl, the Misti Diagonal Rib Shawl, and is up to date on her 365 Granny Squares. She has started the Coffee Shop Wrap and plans to start the Winter Honey Shawl.
