What’s in Our Cup
Jocelyn has a drinking problem. Among other things she is drinking Goodnight Blend from Twinings and Canada Dry Ginger Ale.
Diana is drinking black tea flavoured with Screech rum from Newfoundland.
Woolly Workings
Jocelyn has been working on 365 Days of Granny Squares by YarnUtopia, and the Starting Point MKAL by Joji Locatelli out of Berrocco Pima 100 in Larkspur, Hydrangea, Magnolia(?), and Stonecrop(?), and Ancient Arts in Great Blue Heron.
Diana has been working on Textured Triangle Shawl by Diane Moyer out of Red Heart Soft Classic in Dark Leaf and Wheat (she Threw It on the Ground), and the Bellrose Shawl by Martina Behm out of Sheep En Soie in Remembering Rose (this is the first Strickmich! Club package of the year).
Yarn on the Go
Diana hosted Knit Club this week. Red was working on the Baby Sophisticate.
Jocelyn went yarn shopping. She got some Berroco Summer Silk in White to go with her Hedgehog Fibres Sock in Poison to make the Bendy Arrow shawl. She also got some Manos Alegria for the Find Your Fade shawl and Wolsely Wool‘s Faded Summer KAL (see Events).
Sew Little Time
Diana thought about sewing.
Jocelyn has been working on project bags, purses, and backpacks for her Etsy shop.
Theoretical Spinning
We have some grand plans for Tour de Fleece. Diana needs to buy a scale.
Jocelyn wants to get either a Turkish spindle or a supported spindle.
We mention Unique Bunny and the Knitmore Girls Podcast.
Events
We did stuff for World Wide Knit in Public Day. We went to the Wildwoodrose Vintage Market in the Exchange District, but started with brunch at the Osborne Stella’s, followed by shopping at Unique Bunny and Lennard Taylor, and fuel at Bronuts. Diana purchased some cinnamon-scented beard oil from The Bearded Lady for her very long (non-beard) hair. We met cool crafters like Kelly Ruth and Heartleaf Design. We also partook of some tea at The Amsterdam Tea Room. The day ended with some sushi at Wakoya Sushi.
