Episode 74 – Blocking Party

What’s in Our Cup

Jocelyn has Rhubarb Cream Soda tea from Davids Tea. Diana has Jura scotch.

Woolly Workings

Jocelyn:

Diana:

Fibre Flubs

Diana dropped a stitch on her lace wedding shawl :O Also she can’t read her own notes and had to rip back her Exploration Station because she grabbed the wrong colour.

Jocelyn got one of the ladies at knit club to rip back a large portion of her Northern Plains Shawl (coming soon!) because she read her own pattern wrong and while it still looked good was not suitable for a pattern photo. Her cat attempted to help with the Triple Treat Shawl resulting in its rebirth as a Stormy Sky Shawl.

Yarn on the Go

The great blocking party occurred, and the Evenstar/Wedding Shawl was finished!

Sew Little Time

Jocelyn continued work on a summer dress for herself, and has been working on some market bags for upcoming craft markets.

Fibre Flubs

Jocelyn dropped a stitch on her March socks.

Diana’s lifeline on her Wedding Shawl ran away.

Yarn on the Go

Jocelyn went everywhere this week and managed to sneak in some doctor waiting room sock knitting, coffee shop shawl knitting while caffeinating and watching Critical Role on YouTube. Then she was off to the bi-weekly Knit and Nosh event down at Across the Board Game Cafe. Add in one last-minute lunch date with her sister and grandparents and you can begin to see how quickly a week goes by.

Diana went places but didn’t have time to knit.

Sew Little Time

To get ready for the spring/summer craft markets, Jocelyn has been finishing up her production sewing for those events before she goes on vacation. She is also worked on some summer dresses for herself.

Wool Gathering

Diana showed off her birthday acquisitions which included some decorative buttons, a fabulous gift card for the local yarn store, some cotton, Loops and Threads Charisma in Northern Lights and Dark Purple, and last but not least another Caron Big Cake in Pistachio Macaron. She also got a lovely pin upcycled from an old piano key.

Jocelyn has been thinking about more KALs as she does. She was able to catch the Grocery Girls Podcast live and has fallen in love with the idea of joining in on the Sweaterpaloza KAL they are running in their Ravelry group.

Jocelyn enjoys participating in the Fiber Friends KAL whenever she can even if she doesn’t finish things on time. So, of course, she is joining in on their April 1 sweater cast on.

The CozyUp WithTheStitchinSisters Podcast are starting a cotton KAL with Creek Gardens Crafts to make a crescent shaped shawl in some amazing color so she needs to order some yarn and wait for that pattern to drop. The girls are also currently doing a Stephen West KAL and Jocelyn has that Speckle and Pop Shawl she needs to finish and a KAL sounds like just the motivation she needs.
