Episode 17 – Canada 150

[Archived to YouTube]

What’s in Our Cup

We are drinking Canada Dry Blackberry Ginger Ale.

Cool Threads

We’ve been having some lovely fall weather this summer, so Jocelyn has been wearing the Coffee Shop Shawl and Diana has been wearing the Sockhead Slouch Hat.

Woolly Workings

Jocelyn has been working on the Starting Point MKAL by Joji Locatelli out of Berrocco Pima 100 in Larkspur, Hydrangea, Magnolia(?), and Stonecrop(?), and Ancient Arts in Great Blue Heron, yet another Textured Triangle Shawl by Diane Moyer out of Lion Brand Landscapes in Desert Spring, the Bendy Arrow Shawl by Charlotte Bory out of Berroco Summer Silk in White and Hedgehog Fibres Sock in Poison, Reyna Shawl by Noora Laivola out of Bernat Premium  in Red and Black Tweed, 365 Days of Granny Squares by YarnUtopia, and the Happy Hands Fingerless Mitts by The Craft Patch out of Lana Gatto Canton.

Diana has been working on the Textured Triangle Shawl by Diane Moyer out of Red Heart Soft Classic in Dark Leaf and Wheat, and the Bellrose Shawl by Martina Behm out of Sheep En Soie in Remembering Rose (this is the first Strickmich! Club package of the year).

Yarn on the Go

Diana took all her WIPs out to the lake for pretty picture taking.

Jocelyn ran out of yarn for the Starting Point Shawl, and the shop was out of stock in two of the colours, so that came to a screeching halt. She organized her stash and found some yarn to be made into Curls. She is also going to be a test knitter for the CozyUp WithTheStitchinSisters Mammoth Shawl.

Fiber Flubs

Jocelyn dropped a stitch while binding off the second mitten of the Happy Hands Fingerless Mitts. Her Bendy Arrow Shawl had several false starts in the darker of the two colours.

Diana missed a YO in the middle of a very long row in the Textured Triangle Shawl.

Sew Little Time

Jocelyn has been working on more project bags for her soon-to-be-live Etsy shop, as well as some summer dresses for herself.
